WellStone serves all patients regardless of inability to pay. Discounts for services are offered based on family size and income.

A Sliding Fee Scale is available with proof of income. Proof of income must be current information and includes, but is not limited to any or all of the following:
a. Most recent income tax return or W-2.
b. Two most recent pay stubs.
c. Most recent unemployment check.
d. Proof of other household income (Social Security, pension, etc.).
e. Bank statements showing direct deposits.
f. Statement of Annual Income form if no other verification can be obtain.


WellStone is North Alabamas largest and most comprehensive behavioral healthcare provider. We are a non-profit community organization, and we offer a wide range of services, for every phase of life, from children to older adults. We operate offices in Huntsville and Cullman. We treat over 13,000 clients per year, and we operate 12 total facilities across North Alabama.

Sliding Scale

WellStone Behavioral Health Care Huntsville is a certified Community Mental Health Center and therefore operates through federal and state funds made possible by the Community Mental Health Act. The purpose of these funds to make diagnosis and treatment available to low-income and indigent individuals. The services are either free or under a sliding-scale. These services are available to people of all ages who do not have health insurance.

County or Local Government Funds
