CFC responded to the increasing demand for emergency shelter for women and children by opening Sanctuary House in 2002. The former apartment building was completely renovated to provide both emergency and transitional housing. This shelter is handicapped accessible, making it a wonderful addition to the emergency housing options in our community. Adjoining rooms can be configured as suites to allow large families to be accommodated together. Our goal is to provide homeless families and individuals with shelter while helping to move them into permanent housing.
There is no cost to the client if placed by DHS. Self-referrals and referrals from another program are considered on a case by case basis, and the fee is based on a sliding scale as appropriate.

Sanctuary House Catholic Family Center operates under a sliding fee scale payment model. What this means to you is that Sanctuary House Catholic Family Center provides their services even to patients who cannot afford care (such as low-income or who people who need to self-pay). Patients will pay according to their income. Be prepared to provide information on your household income.

Obamacare purchased from the Health Care Marketplaces covers Mental Health Care and Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Under the Health Care Law there are 10 categories of benefits. Mental Health Care and Substance Abuse Treatment are two of the 10.
