Don't waste your time. They put me on with a crisis counselor. She asked me what was going on. I explained to her my current situation (housing issues) and the circumstances that have culminated to this point where I am feeling overwhelmed and despondent to the point of a full breakdown. She then asked me why i called them, stating that they don't have anything to do with housing issues. FIRST OF ALL.... YOUR COUNSELOR NEEDS TO OBVIOUSLY WORK ON HER LISTENING SKILLS. IN MY OPINION, SHE NEEDS TO FIND A NEW PROFESSION. THIS IS COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO MANAGED A PSYCHIATRIC PRACTICE FOR 3 YEARS. SECOND OF ALL....I FEEL I AM IN CRISIS, otherwise I would not have reached out.. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE IF HAVING A CRISIS LINE WHEN YOUR STAFF DOESN'T CARE. THANK YOU FOR THIS AND THE CLARITY YOU HAVE PROVIDED ME WITH.
