This is a sliding scale approved program

 A Medical Provider or a specially trained nurse provides care to meet the needs of the entire family regardless of income. Charges are based on a sliding scale fee for those who qualify. The following services are provided.

Primary Care
Offers acute care for sick adults and children and disease management for those with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and hypertension.

Child Health
Offers comprehensive medical services for children ages birth to 21. Physicals are done at routine intervals, by appointment. Dental varnishing services are provided for children ages 6 months to 3 years. Child Care Coordination provides case management to families for children birth to age 5 who are medically or socially at risk for developmental delays or who have identified developmental concerns.

Communicable Disease, TB, & STI
Conducts investigations and surveillance of communicable diseases. Once identified, program staff assures that proper compliance with control measures prevents the spread of disease. TB skin tests are available upon request. Staff identify TB cases and initiate control measures. In addition, the program arranges for treatment of TB cases and their contacts. The Sexually Transmitted Infections Program provides confidential counseling, testing, diagnosis, and treatment at no cost.

Immunizations
Vaccines are provided according to the state of North Carolina's guidelines.

Maternal Health Program
Provides comprehensive prenatal care to include medical care, physical exams, nutritional counseling, education, and other appropriate interventions as needed to all pregnant women. Maternal Care Coordination provides case management to pregnant women and their families linking them to community services, information, and resources to ensure a healthy pregnancy and delivery.

Women's Health Program
Offers confidential medical services to women, with an emphasis on reproductive health. Service include: physical exam, laboratory testing, and referrals as needed. In addition, basic birth control methods are available

Sliding Scale

Caswell County Health Department operates under a sliding fee scale payment model. What this means to you is that Caswell County Health Department provides their services even to patients who cannot afford care (such as low-income or who people who need to self-pay). Patients will pay according to their income. Be prepared to provide information on your household income.

Obamacare purchased from the Health Care Marketplaces covers Mental Health Care and Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Under the Health Care Law there are 10 categories of benefits. Mental Health Care and Substance Abuse Treatment are two of the 10.
