This clinic has over 40 years of experience, and is one of the largest health centers serving Asians in the United States.  They provide linguistically and culturally competent medical, dental, and ancillary health care services to all members of the San Francisco Bay Area community.  Including; Primary Care, Specialty Medical Care, Pediatric Care, Women's Health, Family Planning & Reproductive Health, Prenatal Care, Dental Services, Optometry, Podiatry, HIV Testing & Services, X-Ray & Lab, Pharmacy, Mental & Behavioral Health Services, Preventative Services, Health Education & Nutrition, and Social Services.  Their special expertise serves low-income, uninsured or underinsured, immigrant, and monolingual Asian populations. NEMS takes patients with Medi-Cal, Medicare, Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, and other public and private insurance plans.

They offer a sliding fee scale to patients without health insurance and is a major provider for the city’s Healthy San Francisco health access program, including, Medi-Cal, Medicare, Healthy Families, Healthy Kids, Blue Cross, S.F. Health Plan, Healthy San Francisco and private insurance accepted.  Services free if homeless. No one is denied access to services due to inability to pay.

Pharmacy Hours: Mon-Fri 8:45-12:15, 1:15-5:15; Closed Saturdays and Sundays

Obamacare purchased from the Health Care Marketplaces covers Mental Health Care and Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Under the Health Care Law there are 10 categories of benefits. Mental Health Care and Substance Abuse Treatment are two of the 10.
