Clinicas serves the local communities of Ventura County, including private pay patients and patients with private insurance. We specially reach out to populations in need of primary healthcare who are vulnerable to inadequate health care:


The uninsured and underinsured: working individuals and families whose employers do not offer Insurance; the non-Medicaid covered unemployed and their families; children who are not included in their parent's coverage; adults who cannot afford employer-sponsored coverage.

Clinicas is a community health center and migrant health center (CHC/MHC). We are federally qualified and part of network of health care providers across the nation commonly known as safety net health care provider.





Sliding Scale

Ventura Clinic - Clinicas del Camino Real operates under a sliding fee scale payment model. What this means to you is that Ventura Clinic - Clinicas del Camino Real provides their services even to patients who cannot afford care (such as low-income or who people who need to self-pay). Patients will pay according to their income. Be prepared to provide information on your household income.

Community Mental Health Center

Ventura Clinic - Clinicas del Camino Real is a certified Community Mental Health Center and therefore operates through federal and state funds made possible by the Community Mental Health Act. The purpose of these funds to make diagnosis and treatment available to low-income and indigent individuals. The services are either free or under a sliding-scale. These services are available to people of all ages who do not have health insurance.

Medicare

Ventura Clinic - Clinicas del Camino Real accepts Medicare, a federal health insurance program for people age 65 and older and people with disabilities.

Medicare covers a wide range of mental health services.

Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) covers inpatient mental health care services you get in a hospital. Part A covers your room, meals, nursing care, and other related services and supplies.

Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) helps cover mental health services that you would generally get outside of a hospital, including visits with a psychiatrist or other doctor, visits with a clinical psychologist or clinical social worker, and lab tests ordered by your doctor.

Medicare Part D (Prescription Drug ) helps cover drugs you may need to treat a mental health condition. Each Part D plan has its own list of covered drugs, known as formulary. Learn more about which plans cover various drugs.

Medicaid

Obamacare purchased from the Health Care Marketplaces covers Mental Health Care and Substance Use Disorder Treatment. Under the Health Care Law there are 10 categories of benefits. Mental Health Care and Substance Abuse Treatment are two of the 10.
